Phase II and Silver Stars Out Front Print E-mail
Monday, 21 February 2011 14:12

At the end of the National Panorama Semi-Finals, which went into the wee hours of Monday 21st February, Phase II Pan Groove and PCS Silver Stars were ahead of the Large Band category. Both Bp Renegades and Solo Harmonites who were finalists last year failed to make it to the 2011 finals.

In the medium category, the two Tobago bands, Katzenjammers and NLCB Buccooneers maintained their standings at the head of the category with 264 and 263 points respectively. A very solid performance from Pamberi, with 262 points, places them in firm contention for the championship trophy.

Arima Golden Symphony, 2010 small band champion, topped the semi-finals with 263 points, with Tornadoes and Merrytones closely following, each with 261 points.  Beacause of the tie in 10th position, the first eleven (11) small bands and the first ten (10) bands in the Medium and Large categories go through to the finals on Saturday March 5th, 2011 at the Queens Park Savannah, Port of Spain.
