Pan Trinbago Extends Condolences on the Passing of Mr. Melville Bryan

Pan Trinbago extends heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr. Melville Bryan, born December 3rd, 1936, who departed this life on October 23rd, 2025.

Mr. Bryan was not only a devoted son of the Steelband movement, but also a proud Past President of Pan Trinbago, having served in multiple capacities on the Central Executive over the years. He later continued his dedicated service as Consultant to the Central Executive and Assistant Office Manager up to 2018.

His leadership, vision, and steadfast advocacy helped shape the national trajectory of the Steelpan. Mr. Bryan’s unwavering commitment to the instrument and to the community of players, builders, and cultural workers alike has left an indelible mark. He was a stalwart of the movement, an avid Steelband enthusiast whose passion and contributions advanced the cause of our national instrument long before the world recognized its greatness.

Pan Trinbago joins the national community in mourning his passing and extends sincere sympathy to his family, loved ones, and all who were touched by his life and work.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire future generations within the Steelband movement
